Whiteout is a stern MSS officer, but she was always nice to her apprentice Paperweight. When she was revealed to be one of the deepest and most dangerous moles, she made a run for the border and the higher-ups ordered Paperweight to hunt her down.

Paperweight revered Whiteout. Whiteout cared for Paperweight. Paperweight had always regretted his zealous obedience that led him to shoot Whiteout when he was ordered to. In his mind, Whiteout would always be the stern but gentle mentor, and he refused to accept that she was actually a mole.
